At the ripe old age of 19, I found myself on the Redeemer soccer field at 6:30 PM warming up for the 7:00 PM kickoff. It was my first season in the OCAA and I was the starting right-back for the Redeemer University men’s soccer team and we were playing St. Clair College. It was a mid-September evening, the sun was setting quickly, the temperature was dropping, and rain was beginning to fall. It was a season and a game of firsts for me. Let’s go through them:
